My name is Michael Peer, a Former Police K9 Officer turned Dog Trainer & Behaviorist with over 19 years of experience, having trained more than 2,000 dogs and their owners. Helping both people and dogs is my passion in life. A few years ago, my son Brett joined me in training, and it's been a joy to work alongside him and my wife, Glad, who manages our daily operations. Together, we're proud to be your local, family-owned business in Reston. My journey into dog training begun in 2009 when I adopted a 4 month old Rottie who became my inspiration in training dogs. My then newly adopted pup was born with a chronic auto immune disease (Addison's) and a challenging behavior. It wasn't easy for my family in the beginning but I could not and would not give up on him. He lived for 7 years and he paid me back a thousandfold.

Growing up with dogs, Brett was enamored at an early age. By age 12, he began tagging along his father (Dog Coach Michael Peer), to training appointments. This passion naturally evolved into a career, and in 2019, Brett officially joined our team.
In just a few years, Brett has established himself as a skilled trainer with a dedicated following. Clients consistently return for personalized one-on-one sessions under Brett's expert guidance.

Brett exudes a calming sense of patience and empathy towards his clients, young and old. He has a remarkable way of making his clients (dog and people alike) feel at ease when tackling a challenging behavior.
