What is your Training method?
We use Positive Training Method, also called Positive Reinforcement. We don’t use any harsh tools – No E-Collar, No Prong Collar, No Choke Collar. We focus on positive reinforcement and effective communication to train dogs and coach people. Our methods prioritize building a strong bond between you and your furry friend!
Do you train with E-Collar?
At dOgbedience, we do not use E-Collars or any other harsh tools such as Prong Collars or Choke Collars. We use regular Flat Collars in our training programs.
Do you offer puppy classes or any group classes?
Not at the moment but we will be offering Group Classes Soon! Currently, we are focusing solely on private sessions.
Do you offer Private Sessions?
dOgbedience offers a variety of private dog training programs, including In-Home Training, Trial Packages, Reactivity Rehab, Obedience Training, and Behavior Modification. We also provide Online Dog Training sessions.
How do I choose a package?

When do I hear back from you?
Once the Booking Form is received, we will get back to you just as soon as we can. Please allow us to respond in 1-3 days. You and your dog will be offered a space in our program on a first come first serve basis depending on when you’re ready to start training.
What is your Return Policy/Cancellation policy?
All sales are final and non-refundable. If you elect to discontinue training for any reason, you will NOT be entitled to receive any refund of your remaining or unused sessions.

When is payment due?
In general, payment is due no later than 5 days before your appointment. This is also true for packages, a full payment of the total package amount is due 5 days before Session 1 is held.
How often do we meet and how long does a session last?
We normally aim for a once a week training, depending on your schedule and availability of classes. Training sessions last 45 minutes.
How much are the packages?

Do you come to my house to train?
We offer 1 Hr In-Home Training held at the client’s home. A nominal Travel Fee and Toll Fee(if any) applies based on your address. After booking an appointment, you will receive an estimate of any associated Travel Fee. We also offer training packages where training is normally held outdoors in public spaces, around Reston. However, depending on the needs of the client, we offer an optional house visit, depending on where the client lives. Additional fee applies for In-home appointments. After you enrolled or prior to enrollment, you will receive a disclosure of Dogbedience Policies regarding the cost.
Can I hold off training and save my classes/sessions at a later time?
All packages regardless of the number of sessions purchased are provided 6 months to use. This means that all 3-6-8-10 Session Packages are provided 6 months use or lose. The expiration date is 6 months from when your first appointment was held. Any unused sessions not completed within the time allowed will be forfeited.
What are your hours?
Below is our regular schedule for Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter (Winter hours typically ends at sundown between 4-5 PM): Monday: In-Home Training Hours 1 PM - 7 PM Tuesday thru Friday 12 PM - 6 PM (Spring, Summer, & Fall Hours); Then 12 PM - 5 PM (Winter Hours) Saturday: 12 PM - 3 PM Sunday: Closed
Do you train on weekends and holidays?
Our Saturday appointments have recently changed. Per the recent changes in our policies, Saturday appointments now denote a Weekend Fee of $20 per session, and are available by special request only. Payment is due upon making an appointment. We are closed on Sundays and closed on Federal Holidays.
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment at any time?
We require a 24 Hour Cancellation Notice. You may cancel or reschedule your appointment provided you give a 24 hour notice. Late cancellation of your appointment under 24 hours or No Show will result in forfeit of your session.
What is your weather cancellaltion policy?
We monitor weather conditions throughout the day based on the weather forecast. In the event of inclement weather related cancellation such as Rain, Snow, Heat Wave, etc., we will notify you ASAP, BUT NO LATER than 30 minutes prior to your session. We will contact each affected client individually either by voice, text and/or email. If your session is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will push your session to the following week. As a client, you may NOT cancel a session on your own due to the harsh weather conditions in your area unless you're willing to forfeit your session. The decision to cancel a session officially belongs to Dogbedience. Generally speaking, it could be raining in one location but it may not be raining 1 mile away. If you have an appointment but uncertain if your session is still on or not, please contact your Trainer directly by voice or text. How do I schedule my appointment?
-When you book a 1Hr In-Home Training & Consultation, you can schedule an appointment online at https://calendly.com/dogbedience/in-home-training -When you purchase a package, you will be offered our “Best Available Appointment” based on the form you provided. -Best Available Appointments are pre-assigned weekly based on your dog’s needs and made available to you via email prior to the beginning of the week. -Please look-out for Email Announcements of your suggested Appointment asking for you to Confirm Your Availability within 24 hours to secure your spot. -If you are not available or have a conflict, simply let us know immediately and we will find a work around. -Whenever possible, we will offer you an alternate appointment.
Who can attend the classess/sessions?
-Any adult dog owner, age 18 and up can attend lessons but all family members are welcome to attend including children, if any. -Children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by at least 1 adult, 18 years old.
